Dolora finds outlets for her creativity in many activities beyond her singing: offstage, she’s an accomplished visual artist and a dedicated poet. Here is a selection of works (excerpted from a larger work-in-progress) that demonstrates her range… Dolora’s vividly colored works depict a dream world that is by turns charming and ominous. While small in scale (the originals average about a foot square), they are intense and expressive. Her forest scenes seem both familiar and surreal; when figures appear, they often move elusively in the middle distance. In her abstractions are echoes of the natural world and of the cosmos that perhaps reflect her passions for gardening and self exploration.
